If you are reading this, it means I am finally on my way to Camp Blogaway. Or already there, doing one of the myriad activities planned by Patti, our Fearless Leader. Or leading one of my own activities–the TasteStopping Visual Showcase or the RegionalBest.com S’mores Sessions. Or maybe by now, I’m even boarding a plane back to the East Coast, more than ready for a little snuggle time with my kidlets.

Whatever the case, I am allowing a few days’ pause at TasteStopping, while I am away. I hope you will take a moment to look around the site and find some great recipes that you won’t find at the elite sites (because they are represented by photos that were deemed dull or unsharp). Or maybe scratch your head at the DR: Splitsville series. Better yet, I hope you will embrace the invitation that this site embodies. Send in your own photos, rejected or fresh, because TasteStopping publishes them all.

And though it may sound corny or trite, I want you to know that as I make my way up the mountain, both figuratively and literally this weekend, I carry each of you with me. Because one cannot successfully blog–or live for that matter–in a vacuum. And your friendships, support and enthusiasm for this site have been a great gift to me and the reason I have been invited to participate in Camp Blogaway in the first place.

And one more thing. This ol’ site has been around for nearly a full year. In honor of that fact, I will be announcing another giveaway, this time directly from me to one of you dedicated food bloggers. In honor of 365 days of group therapy together!
