Gourmet S’mores Kit Giveaway #4

Submitted by on May 6, 2010 – 7:43 am6 Comments

Welcome to giveaway #4!

If you love the classic combination of chocolate, marshmallows and crackers, served up over a campfire, you’ll love what TasteStopping and RegionalBest.com have in store for you. Direct from the regional food artisans featured on RegionalBest.com, the winner of today’s giveaway will receive a gourmet s’mores kit which includes handcrafted chocolate from Grocer’s Daughter, fresh Vanilla Marshmallows from kitchen witch and hand-cracked Middlebury Maple crackers from Castleton Crackers. Read this post for more information about each of these wonderful vendors and to learn more about the prize.

Moving on to today’s scavenger hunt. Some of us love smooth, creamy chocolate. Some of us fancy a beautifully composed cocktail during Happy Hour. Chocolatier Rhonda Kave has figured out a way to give us both in one beautiful bite.

To enter today’s giveaway, visit RegionalBest.com and find Roni Sue’s Chocolates Cocktail Collection. Come back to this post and leave a comment telling about a time you tried one of the cocktails featured in her decadent truffles. If you’ve never tried one of the cocktails she has recreated as a truffle, leave a comment suggesting a new flavor based on your favorite cocktail.

Also, from this point forward, all of the entries received (for giveaways #3-#10) will be cumulative for giveaway #10. The more you enter along the way, the better your chances of winning!

Happy hunting!

I just tried mojitos for the first time last October at this wonderful bar we went to in St. Augustine on a weekend vacation. Love, love them! I made them at my surprise 30th birthday this year…I thought I was going to a BBQ at a friend’s house and my husband suggested we bring over the stuff to make mojitos. They were a hit and my new favorite drink.

  • I enjoy mojitos. It’s usually the cocktail I order when I’m out for dinner. Mint mojitos are always delightful. Last time I was at a Thai restaurant, I ordered lychee mojitos and that was so good.

I love mojitos and often order them if I can’t think of another drink to get. This actually backfired one time while on vacation in New York City. The hotel bartender clearly didn’t have much experience, as he muddled mint, added rum and soda water. And that’s it. For this sweet tooth, it was pretty hard to choke down without any sugar at all. And no lime!

I love a good Irish Coffee with dessert – coffee, whiskey, sugar, cream – how amazing would that would be in truffle form?

Ooh absinthe! I recently went to an absinthe tasting and tried Hemingway’s signature cocktail called Death in the Afternoon. I’m still not sure how I feel about absinthe but I’m intrigued about mixing it with chocolate!
