    awesome. Looks delish!

For me, it’s the color/contrast/lighting. Very 70’s. Although Bon Appetit does this style often as well. Is it a fluorescent light?

I would have taken it on a white background/cloth and avoided the drip on the side of the glass (kinda looks…creepy).

Maybe also have sprinkled several blueberries on top of the dish to add some color.

PS – I’m in NO way a professional, at least half of my pics get rejected by both Tastespotting and FoodGawker. I just know what I like to see. And this is just my personal, asked-for opinion.

  • Joan – Thank you

    Julianna – Thank you

It really tastes good too. Not too sweet like bread puddings can get sometimes.

Rina – Thank you for your input. It’s funny you mentioned Bon Appetit because that was what I immediately thought when I saw the picture. And then thought – if it works for Bon Appetit, why not these guys?

I now have a white background (didn’t at the time of the photo) and you’re right, that’s probably what I should have used for the backdrop. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.
