this one’s pretty! do’nt know why it wouldn’t have made it. i really don’t understand what “not sharp” means and it drives me crazy when they give me that comment!
Tastespotting has been rejecting way too many photos that I ENJOY. I go to their site and see pics that are blurry. To me this is sharp and pretty. It definitely takes me to your site!

Sharp means they want every noodle (for example) to be super clear and absolutely NO blur, even blur that you would see with your own eyes. Found that Tastespotting wants UNNATURAL sharpness – when I see pics that are sharpened that way I don’t even click even if I am interested in the food.

I think that Foodgawker and Tastespotting tend to forget that the DoF(depth of field) in a photo is a way for photographers to draw your attention to a certain part of the picture, thus making it more appealing to the eye.
